Poem: Visions of Consciousness

O Eternal Light behind the veils of thought,
You silent sun behind the restless brow of man,
Let's descend.
beneath the noisy surface of the mind.
Because we live like wanderers
at the outer limits of our being,
lost in the changing game
of thoughts, reactions, and desires.
Our mind chases after images,
our days pass
in the flow of habits,
and yet deep beneath it all lies
a silent sea of being.
Lead us inward.
Not into flight from the world,
but into the hidden sanctuary,
where the soul is still
awaits her hour of awakening.
Let your inner focus grow.
Let the restlessness of thought subside.
like dust in the evening light.
Open the gates of silence,
not the empty absence,
but that vibrant expanse,
in which consciousness begins,
directly visible.
O secret psychic fire,
you divine spark behind the personality,
You tender flame beneath the layers of ego —
emerge from the depths.
Make our hearts true.
Make our thinking transparent.
Make our lives receptive
for the higher light.
Because behind the surface spirit
An inner being lives there,
as wide as the sky,
Calm as eternity,
clear as a pristine spring.
Lead us there.
Let's not wait any longer
To be prisoners of external movements
but inhabitants of the inner spaces,
in which the soul
It carries its silent sun.
O consciousness, unfolding
through worlds, times, and beings,
the hidden evolution of the divine in matter —
Elevate man
beyond his narrow ignorance.
Let the higher light
not remain distant and unreachable,
but descend
in thought, body, and earth.
Penetrate our words.
Penetrate our relationships.
Penetrate even matter
with your golden awakening.
For the world is not deserted.
It is an unfinished temple.
And deep within man
The hour is still waiting,
in which the eternal
through the finite
wants to become visible.
